Professor José Murilo de Carvalho discusses citizenship in Brazil, looking at the events of June 2013 and the formation of a political people in Brazil. De Carvalho, political scientist and historian, is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters and is a  professor at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).

This event is part of the Brazil Institute’s 2013/14 Seminar Series and will be followed by a drinks reception
