Rio: From the courts to the Golf courses
10 Aug, 2015
Whichever sport you wish to practise, you’ll be sure to find it in Rio. Apart from all the open air sports, the clubs, the clubs, resorts, spas and gyms offer a wide range of activities, and are equipped for just about anything, including squash, racquet ball, tennis ( including public courts, private courts, clubs courts and tennis schools, with covered and open courts), paddle sports, swimming ( the clubs have a full range of Olympic and diving pools, and most hotels and resorts have pools), gyms and spas with all the equipment for any type of exercise including indoor soccer, volleyball, basketball, handball, archery, shooting, golf courses both in the city and in the surrounding region. Some hotels have arrangements with golf clubs or have their own course, and they also have agreements with gym academies if they don’t have their won well equipped fitness area. After all, the Carioca has always been very Ai??conscious of the body-beautiful, and latched on years ago to the modern craze for fitness and health.
And if you by chance didn’t bring the right clothes or the necessary equipment ( from racquet to surf-board, from golf clubs to running shoes), don’t worry. Rio is also Brazil’s fashion capital, and the stores and malls in the city, as well as those in the hotels, have everything that a visiting sports person could need. And don’t forget to take home a soccer shirt from you favourite Carioca club, or a traditional Brazil squad T-shirt. celebrating five times world champion at soccer. This way you’ll officially join the Carioca at heart’ team. Welcome to the club.
When it comes to professional sports, there are several modern venues for the various competitions, all of which point to our city as a choice destination for sports events.
