Welcome to the 1st Brazilian Independent Short Movies Festival in London!

05 setembroLanding in Shoreditch, East London, the “I ❤ Brazilian Cinema Festival” aims to bring the young and underground filmmaking talent from Brazil to the consciousness of one of the worlds leading film-making countries – Us! – Good old Blighty!

This event will comprise of a stunning selection of documentary, animated, dramatic and comedy shorts to souse the spectator with a waterfall of Brazilian culture that proves that this flavoursome country is a lot more than the samba, Carmen Miranda and football.

I ❤ Brazilian Cinema Festival – “É o jeitinho brasileiro” – It’s The Brazilian Way

Highlights of the festival include a gritty recounting of the hard life in a Brazilian favela, a tale of the not-so-sad death of a drag queen, the real life of a middle class housewife, a funny and controversial animation which has a family therapy between Jesus and God and of course a healthy helping of love stories because, let’s face it, Brazilians love to love.

Each guests receives a free glass of caipirinha and helping of popcorn to start the night off and The Translate Bar will also be serving mojitos and other cocktails throughout the evening.

With DJ’s keeping the South American spirit alive after the movies end you might well find it hard to adapt back into London life.
