The King’s Brazil Institute and the Embassy of Brazil have organised an event on the Baron of Mauá, on the bicentenary year of his birth. HE Roberto Jaguaribe, Brazilian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Kenneth Maxwell, historian, and Roberto Paulo Cezar de Andrade, Brazilian academic, will lead the debate on the life and times of the Baron, examining his legacy and importance in Brazilian history.
