Flispide 2015: 03th ,04th and 5th October

FlipSide 2015 will take place on 2nd, 3rd and 4th October at spectacular Snape Maltings ai??i?? home of Aldeburgh Music. Following the success of the 2014 festival, FlipSide is delighted to announce that it has been granted charitable status and a board of trustees has been formed, chaired by Jeremy Hardie CBE, former chairman of W H Smith Group.

For the last two years FlipSide has showcased Brazilian literature and music. This year will see the programme broaden to include the work of writers, musicians and artistes from other Latin American countries. ai???FlipSide aims to become the premier Latin American arts festival in the country, with cultural exchange at its heart,ai??? says Artistic Director Liz Calder.

ai???Our plan is to bring leading writers and musicians from all over Latin America to the Suffolk marshes for an annual carnival of the arts.ai???

There are many exciting developments on the horizon for this yearai??i??s festival, and the first of these is a New Writing Competition for unpublished writers. The competition has two categories, 12-17 and 18+, and there are cash prizes of A?500 for 12-17s and A?1,000 for 18+; Waterstones vouchers will be given for the second prize in each category. Ipswich, Hadleigh and Felixstowe based law firm Gotelee are the main sponsors, and senior partner Brian Morron says,
