Interested in ORAL HISTORY, ARTS and BRAZILIAN CULTURE?

Be part of BRASILIANCE, a social-cultural Oral History project produced by StoneCrabs Theatre Company and supported by The Heritage Lottery Fund. Brasiliance will collate personal stories of Brazilians who immigrated to London between the 60s and 80s, and consequently stayed and created a life in the UK. The Brasiliance research findings will be archived in various institutions throughout the UK and will be the inspiration for a new theatre play.

To help us bring these stories to life, we are looking for volunteers to collaborate in the findings of photographic archives, documentaries, audio recordings, historic items (such as written correspondence or personal objects) and other materials.
All volunteers involved will be paid travel expenses and will receive specialised training on Oral History Research & Interview techniques with the Oral History Society on the 4th of September.

If you like the sound of this and want to be involved, please get in touch via Brasiliance@stonecrabs.co.uk by the 30th of July and tell us what you would like to bring to the project.
The Brasiliance research group will first meet on Wednesday, 14th August at King’s College, London. And for the following Wednesdays thereafter until the end of September.
